Summary

Writer and Line Producer with 17+ years inside national and international commercial campaigns, premium television, and feature film — shooting across the U.S. and globally in New Zealand, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Paris — paired with hands-on cybersecurity expertise built across a decade of independent research and infrastructure work under the BlueGuard banner.

Producer and Line Producer credits spanning Chelsea Pictures, Moxie Pictures, and Rock Paper Scissors. Earlier production-department credits on HBO’s In Treatment and Dreamgirls (DreamWorks/Paramount). The dual fluency required to translate content security standards into VFX, animation, and modern creative production workflows.

Creator

Writer of The Third Stanza, an original feature narrative centered on Nero. Told in a haunting reverse-chronology, a psychological portrait that reveals the boy behind the monster — tracing the path from the ashes of a burning Rome back to the nursery of an innocent child who was forced into the robes of a killer.

Built as a five-chapter non-linear structure spanning 54–68 AD, the story reframes spectacle through intimate political violence, with the Great Fire of Rome functioning as both event and character.

The Third Stanza anchors a broader trilogy concept and reflects the same through-line as my production work: protecting creation under pressure while preserving the artist’s voice.

The Consciousness Project

An independent, long-form inquiry into the deepest open question in science: why is there something it is like to be you? Published at andthenitdidhappen.com, the project unfolds across ten linked chapters — the hard problem, the leading theories of consciousness, the neuroscience challenging free will, altered states, split-brain cases, illusions of perception, and the question of machine minds.

The writing pairs philosophy with primary research — from the Minnesota “Jim twins” studies to the Default Mode Network — and includes an interactive experiment and a fully cited sources library. Released CC0 / public domain, because questions this fundamental belong to everyone.

It extends the same through-line as the rest of my work: a fascination with how systems — creative, technical, or biological — give rise to something greater than their parts.

The Blue Suite

Apps from BlueGuard Security LLC, written in Swift. Private by default: no trackers, no ads, and nothing collected that the app does not need.

Mac App Store

BlueLyrics

apps.apple.com/bluelyrics

  • Synced lyrics for whatever is playing in Music, one glowing line and one word at a time, large enough to read across a room.
  • Casts the same lyric page to any screen on the local network. No account, nothing leaves the network.
  • Built for low vision first: text scales to the window, every control is a large button.
Mac & iPhone

BlueShort

blueshort.cam

  • Short links under the owner’s control: expiry dates, open caps, passwords, burn after one use, and network or country allowlists.
  • Destinations checked against known-malware lists. No trackers, no IP logs.
Mac

BlueSend

blueshare.cam

  • Private file links from the Mac: expiry, download limits, passwords, and upload-request inboxes only the owner can read.
  • Files encrypted at rest and deleted when the link ends.
Mac & iPhone

BlueVault

bluevault.cam

  • Passwords, one-time codes and notes in a zero-knowledge vault, sealed on the device before anything is sent.
  • The service stores ciphertext only. No one at BlueGuard, and no breach of its servers, can read an entry.

Experience

2020 — present

Founder & Principal

BlueGuard  ·  bluetoothdefense.com  ·  Los Angeles, CA

  • Founded and operate a cybersecurity practice focused on wireless and proximity-based exfiltration vectors (AirDrop, Bluetooth, peer-to-peer) — the exact threat model that puts pre-release content at risk on set, in post houses, and during vendor handoffs.
  • Inventor of the BlueGuard USB dongle: hardware that detects Bluetooth and BLE attacks before the operating system loads, closing the window every software defense misses. Protected by three U.S. provisional patent applications covering the device, the software method, and the business system.
  • Designed and operate a production-grade homelab and research environment: 5-node MicroCloud cluster, dedicated NAS, segmented surveillance subnet, self-hosted Git, identity, and reverse-proxy stack — the same patterns used to protect creative deliverables in transit.
  • Built automated SSH key rotation, certificate management, and credential-hygiene tooling across distributed nodes; standardized on an Nginx reverse proxy for TLS termination.
  • Designed and shipped the Blue Suite: BlueLyrics on the Mac App Store, plus BlueShort, BlueSend and BlueVault — native Swift apps on their own subscription services, from code to App Store Connect.
  • Privacy-first operating philosophy: no Google ecosystem dependencies, end-to-end encrypted communications, written-record bias for auditability — directly applicable to pre-release asset workflows.

Producer  /  Line Producer

National commercial campaigns & branded content  ·  Los Angeles, CA

  • Line Producer on Chrysler — “Halftime in America” (dir. David Gordon Green) — the 2012 Super Bowl spot starring Clint Eastwood, produced at Chelsea Pictures.
  • Line Producer on Chevrolet — “Real People / Not Actors” (dir. Zach Merck) — three-year national campaign with cumulative media spend approaching $1 billion. Oversaw budgets, logistics, and managed a crew of over 200.
  • Line Producer on ESPN’s 30 for 30: “First Pitch” (dir. Angus Wall) — documentary short on President Bush’s first pitch at Yankee Stadium during the 2001 World Series, seven weeks after 9/11, featuring interviews with Bush, Derek Jeter, Rudy Giuliani, and Condoleezza Rice. ESPN airs it annually on September 11.
  • Produced commercial work for Apple — operating under the strictest embargo and pre-release confidentiality regimes in the industry, where leaked creative carries direct commercial consequence.
  • Production Manager on Always — “Like A Girl” (dir. Lauren Greenfield) — Emmy-winning, Cannes Grand Prix campaign; 90 million-plus views globally.
  • Own chain-of-custody for creative assets from boards through deliverables: locked-down script and storyboard distribution, controlled dailies access, watermarked review cuts, and NDA-gated post-vendor onboarding.
2008 — 2022

Production Manager  /  Production Supervisor

National brand campaigns (12+ years)  ·  Los Angeles, CA / on location

  • Twelve-plus years managing on-the-ground production operations for national brand campaigns spanning automotive, technology, food & beverage, insurance, and retail.
  • Worked extensively with Deluxe Labs and other major content-services vendors — direct exposure to the post-production security and delivery infrastructure that underpins studio content workflows.
  • Hardened day-to-day production workflows: locked-down script distribution, controlled dailies access, vendor NDAs, embargo enforcement, and post-vendor security expectations baked into deal memos.
  • Repeat collaborator with established commercial producers including Shanah Blevins (Chelsea Pictures), John Hardin (Wondros), Greg Bartlett (Humble TV), Tara Saxon (Trio Films), and Melinda Nugent — relationships built on operational reliability and discretion.
2005 — 2010

Production Coordinator  /  Assistant Production Manager

Feature film & premium television  ·  Los Angeles, CA / on location

  • Production-department credits include HBO’s In Treatment (2008, 35 episodes) and Dreamgirls (2006, DreamWorks/Paramount) — large-budget productions with strict script confidentiality, talent privacy, and pre-release-asset handling requirements.
  • Developed the operational, vendor-management, and confidentiality instincts that define the rest of the career.
